Our Silicone Edge Protectors slide over the blade and protect the edge against all manner of nicks, dings and the dreaded “drop on the floor” chips that can mean hours of work gone in the blink of an eye. Well, no more. Slip a protector on your blade and even dropping won’t damage it. This pack contains two #6 edge protectors with a 2-3/8″-wide opening, which will handle #4-1/2, #5-1/2, #6 and #7 bench planes.
Two other packs fit different planes. #1 Pack (#166099): two protectors with a 1-3/4″-wide opening, which will comfortably handle most block planes. #4 Pack (#166100): two protectors with a 2″-wide opening to handle #3, #4 and #5 bench planes.
