Edge Guards, tip protectors, or whatever you call them, are made from a somewhat hard plastic that either fits well because it is made for the chisel or doesn’t fit and slips off. WoodRiver® Chisel Guards are made from soft silicone. They will fit over practically any chisel, stay on, and protect the chisel’s edge from hard knocks.
