For those who already own a Mk.II Honing Guide, Veritas offers the Narrow-Blade Clamping Head. It takes just a few seconds to remove the regular head and install the Narrow-Blade head onto the Mk.II Honing Guide. Veritas designed the head for those who primarily sharpen chisels. Whether they’re beveled or square edged, the chisel blades are kept centered and tight to the reference face of the jig plate by parallel, canted jaws to ensure a precise cutting edge every time. The head will handle blades from 1/8″ to 1-1/2″ wide, bevel-edged chisels up 15/32″ thick, and square-edged chisels up to 11/32″ thick, and it hones bevel angles from 15° to 40° and back bevels from 10° to 20°.
