Current SawStop models use cartridges with blue tinted plastic cases and 9-pin connectors. If you have an older model with a clear case and a 15-pin connector, you will need a different cartridge; please call SawStop for details.

FAQs

Does this cartridge work with all 8″ dado stacks?

Yes. It is compatible with standard 8‑inch dado stacks up to 13/16″ wide on compatible SawStop saws.

Does the blade have to be completely dry/clean for the brake to function?

No. The brake still works with a normal amount of dust or pitch, but excessive moisture, wet lumber, or heavy buildup can cause false activation, so clean and dry blades are recommended.
